Vinous 90 points - (made from 51% chardonnay and 49% pinot noir; Lot 3012574): Light yellow-gold. Zesty citrus fruits and white flowers on the highly fragrant, toasty nose. Juicy Meyer lemon and tangerine flavors give way to deeper pear and melon with air, picking up a buttery brioche quality and a hint of anise. Closes spicy and long, with lingering smokiness and a touch of bitter pear skin.
Wine Enthusiast 92 points - This rich and creamy vintage wine boasts soft apples, fresh acidity and a fine, tight texture. There’s just a hint of toast to round out the palate and add complexity. It could improve with age further, so drink through 2020. (Dec 2013)
