Wine Spectator 88 points - Cherry jam and graphite aromas lead off, with candied cherry, spice and tar notes on the palate. Exhibits fine balance and length. Best from 2017 through 2024. 150 cases imported.-BS

Vinous 88 points - The 2012 Savigny-les-Beaune Les Lavieres is soft and supple, all of which give it considerable near term appeal. Given the wine’s mid-weight structure, I would prefer to drink the 2012 over the next few years. Red and black stone fruits, cherry pit and sweet floral notes add nuance on the firm, slightly compact finish.
