Wine Spectator 91 points - Buoyed by a silky texture and lively acidity, the cherry and berry flavors pick up spice accents on the linear frame. This is elegant and vibrant, with a long finish. Best from 2017 through 2026. 72 cases imported.-BS

Vinous 91 points - The 2012 Beaune Clos du Roi is a gorgeous, surprisingly fruit-forward Burgundy. Black cherries, cloves, mint and licorice flesh out in the glass in a decidedly supple, round Beaune that offers quite a bit of near term appeal. All the elements fall into place in an effortless, impeccably balanced wine that will be hard to resist young.
