Wine Enthusiast 91 points - One of several chateaux in Saint-Estephe that come from the plateau of Pez, this is a lightly structured wine, with already-forward black currant fruitiness and acidity. It’s developing quickly and will be ready to drink from 2018.
Vinous 87 points - Good full ruby-red. Expressive aromas of red cherry, blackcurrant and chocolate, with a hint of roasted oak and lovely violet lift. Deep, rich and sweet, with an enticing flavor of crystallized blackcurrant complicated by red berry, leather and floral elements. Unusually silky tannins for the year on the lingering mineral-accented finish. Super wine with what seems to be real potential for the year.
