Wine Advocate 90 points - The 2008 Dominio de Valdepusa Svmma Varietalis sees 12 months in Allier oak and is a blend of 70% Syrah with 18% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of Graciano. It has a clean, fresh bouquet of dark cherries, blueberry, pencil lead and pine that is well-defined but needs to develop more personality. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe blackberry and bilberry fruit, crisp acidity and a pleasing, slightly toasty, savory finish that displays good length. Very fine. Drink now-2017.
