Wine maker notes
Le Charmel Co^tes de Provence Rose´ is an estate wine produced near Bandol along the Mediterranean coast. The grapes are cultivated on picturesque Provencal hillsides with clay and limestone soils. The are manually picked, hand-sorted, and fully de-stemmed on site. Harvested from the 3rd September to the 22nd September. 20% cold skin maceration, 80% direct pressing, temperature carefully controlled and monitored throughout the entire production process. Fermentation and maturation on lees takes place in stainless steel tank.

Technical notes
30% Syrah · 30% Cinsault · 20% Mourve`dre · 10% Grenache · 10% Rolle Alcohol: 12.5%

Food pairing
Rose´ is the perfect all occasion wine! It is especially perfect as an aperitif, with all seafood dishes, salads, charcuterie and goat cheese.

Mel and Janie are from England but both now US citizens. Mel has been in the wine business ever since leaving school and he met Janie when they were only twelve and thirteen (she played the piano and he played the guitar!) and as they grew up together, they shared a passion for food and wine. They married at 19 and 20. The couple left England to live in France in 1970 and started a company called Master Wines and began selling little known French wines in the USA. Mel was a pioneer in bringing great wine values to the USA from France.
