Aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry typical to Gevrey-Chambertin mark this wine, which shows firm tannic structure allied to silky, elegant fruit with nuances of sweet oak and spice ending in a full finish.
Vinous 87 points - Medium red. Musky red berries, spices and leather on the expressive nose. Supple, pliant and easygong, with an attractive sweetness nicely complemented by saline soil tones on the ripe finish. A very successful blend: there are 180 (!) barrels of this juice. By the way, I much preferred this wine to Jadot’s village wines from Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanee.
