Vinous 90 points - (almost finished with its malolactic fermentation): Bright yellow. Peach and butter on the nose. Sweeter and less complex than the Chassagne Le Romanee that preceded it, showing apple and pear flavors accented by spices. Not yet showy; in fact, this wine still hints at a bitter malic edge. But the tactile, saline finish suggests that it has plenty of material.
90-92 Points (Sep 2014)

1. Genfiddich 18 year old - Gentle, soft and melts into your mouth. Still subtle, but more sophisticated than the nose. Sweet caramel, honey and oak. Hints of raisins and spice.
2. Glenlivet 18 year old - Smooth and velvety, with a firm foundation. Sweetness is immediately followed by a tantalizing burst of spices and bitter oranges drying out on oaky notes.
