It all began in 1984… when Louis Trebuchet met Jean-Rene Chartron, a winegrower based in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Louis was a young Burgundian who was eager to set up his own company in order to use the experience gained as manager of a reputed wine firm in Beaune. Providence enabled the two to meet and discover their mutual passion for Burgundy and its wines.
The company is now owned and run by Vincent Sauvestre, 4th generation winegrower in Meursault with vines in the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune including three Grand Crus and twelve Premier Cru wines.
Chartron & Trebuchet specialises in the vinification and the aging of great Burgundy wines.
