Deep garnet colour. Powerful and complex aromas of ripe red and black fruit, foral notes, graphite, toffee, chocolate, and a well integrated oak infuence. The taste is fresh, intense and expressive, with soft tannins and a long fnish with lots of smooth, ripe fruit.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Ripe plum, toast, mineral and orange peel flavors mingle in this lively red, supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and bright acidity. A fresh, modern style, with good depth. Drink now through 2020. 180 cases made.-TM

Wine Advocate 93 points - It’s very interesting to see the four varietals separate (although not from the same vintage) and then blended as is done in this 2012 Coleccion Vivanco 4 Varietales. It is made with the same proportion as the 2010, 70% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano, 10% Garnacha and 5% Mazuelo all fermented with indigenous yeast and aged separately with the lees for 16 months, The ripe and hedonistic nose is showy with violets and blueberries making it much more aromatic (it perhaps resemble more the Mazuelo, but curiously enough is the minority in the blend) with subtle spices. The palate shows sophisticated, velvety tannins that are laced with texture, good acidity and balance. A great showing for this wine. Accessible and able to age. 9,638 bottles.

|Wine maker notes
|The Coleccion wines from Dinastia Vivanco are limited-production wines that capture the essence of traditional Rioja grape varieties and their cultivation in extraordinary terroirs. The personality of each wine is distinguished on the label by an original piece of art from the family’s collection on display at the museum.
This single-vineyard, powerful wine with complex aromas of ripe red and black fruits accented by florals is backed by well-integrated hints of toffee and cocoa. Fresh and expressive on the palate with great acidity and soft tannins, this blend of 4 native varietals is packed with smooth, mature fruit through the long finish. Aged in new French oak barrels for 20 months following vinification in large French oak barrels, this wine is blended before bottling.
