Lucinda, a California Red sheep and Millie, a Barnevelder chicken, happily coexist on our vineyard farm where we have grown grapes organically for two decades. Lucinda and her herd graze between the vineyards rows in the spring to keep cover crops under control and keep (the sheep) happy before they are sheered! Millie and her flock are nearby gathering insects, worms and grasses to provide some of the most delicious brown eggs in the county. Some of our vineyards are in Northern California where redwood forests and vineyards share the land.

Lucinda & Millie Wines are made from 100% organically grown grapes certified by the California Certified Organic Farmers. Some of our vineyards have been certified for over 20 years. We are dedicated to making delicious wines created in an atmosphere where tradition and natural methods bring balance and a healthy lifestyle. This means our vineyards are free from the use of chemicals like pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and chemical fertilizers. Natural practices are used to keep our vines healthy and life in and around our vineyards natural. That means we have a lot of “chirping, buzzing, clucking and baaing”!
