Wine Spectator 87 points - Firm in texture, this is generous at the core, with currant and plum flavors shaded by black tea and pear skin notes, finishing with focus. Best after 2018. 25,000 cases made.

Founded in 1994, Canoe Ridge’s focus is estate grown Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery takes its name from the ridge located on the eastern side of the Columbia River, near Walla Walla, Washington. Famed explorers Lewis and Clark named this crest of land as they journeyed down the river in 1805. From the river, the two adventurers thought the ridge looked like an overturned canoe.
