The reputation of Chateau Rahoul was initially established on the quality of its white wines, which regularly rated highly among the specialist press.
While white wine production is still relatively small (10,000 bottles), it was most notably the excellent quality of the white wines responsible for its remarkable ascent to join the Union of Grands Crus de Bordeaux in the 80ís. This difference is a strength to be celebrated here at Chateau Rahoul and these predominantly Semillon-based wines continue to cause a stir in the Sauvignon Blanc universe of Pessac-Leognan.
On the palate, remarkable balance between freshness, acidity and volume. The addition of Sauvignon blanc imparts abundant aromatic complexity. A fine wine which will undoubtedly stand up to several years bottle ageing.
