From one of the finest and oldest wine regions in the world, Cotes de Provence, this designated AOC rose wine is rooted in traditions that have been carried from generation to generation. Clementine is made by the delicate process of extracting the best part of the fruit to maintain a balance between clarity, color and vibrant aromas. Clementine is a dry rose that dances along the palate, while bringing freshness to the mind; to be enjoyed as an aperitif, with poultry, fish and meat.
CLÉMENTINE is a true rose founded by 2 men from different aspects and regions of the wine world. STEVE VEYTIA, a long time resident of France, raised in St. Helena, California developed a passion for rose wines. During vacations in the US he often had difficulty finding quality roses at an affordable price. In 2005 he approached long time friend PIERRE AROSTEGUY, 5th generation curator of MAISON DE AROSTEGUY in Biarritz, France, to help him develop a high quality wine with great value. Pierre has one of the oldest epiceries in France, specializing in fine wines and delicacies from around the world.
Steve and Pierre are now joined by third partner Reid Pinder. Originally from Australia, Reid like Steve has lived in the SW France for just over two decades and developed a passion for all things wine and food.
CLÉMENTINE has been developed with the 4 families who make-up the Cooperative Saint-Sidoine in Puget-Ville, Var, France. The Cooperative dates back to 1923. The vineyard has a prime geographic location, with stony soil and a vine-friendly microclimate. Its vineyards cover 1,729 acres in the Cotes de Provence appellation. The Cooperative strives to achieve the best quality possible by honoring the terroir and following environmentally sound farming methods.
