Color: Deep purple red.
Nose: Red fruits, black current and raspberry.
Palate: Fresh and round tasting with a finish of stewed fruits.
Vinous 90 points - Bright violet. Ripe blackberry and candied licorice on the pungent, smoke-tinged nose. Chewy and focused, showing a peppery bite to the deep dark fruit and floral pastille flavors. Becomes more lively with air, picking up a subtle mineral note that carries through the long, youthfully tannic finish.
90-92 Points (Mar 2016)
