Ramey has always done a good job with Cabernet Sauvignon. He produces 6,000 cases of his Claret, a lighter-styled, immediately drinkable red wine. The 2012 Claret is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and the rest Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Its dark ruby hue is accompanied by notes of cedarwood, roasted herbs, and red and blackcurrants in a flavorful, medium-bodied, elegant, surprisingly Bordeaux-like style.
|Ramey Wine Cellars is dedicated to creating high quality, handcrafted wines with balance and richness from the areaís finest vineyards.
Our philosophy is our process:
Itís about respect for the land. Nature guides our process and we listen Ė closely.
Itís about terroir. The vineyards are selected for their ability to sustainably produce the highest quality fruit. The soil must be right for the climate, which must be right for the terrain, which must be right for the varietal.
Itís about harmony Ė the marriage of Old World methods with New World innovations.
Itís about a family of wines crafted for the now, but even better with age. Bold, but in check, sensual, these are wines in perfect balance.
Ramey Wine Cellars. Guided by passion and a commitment to goodness in the glass.
