Great complexity on the bouquet, with a robust structure and well weighted mouthfeel.
Wine Spectator 94 points - Melon, apple, stone, seashore and earth aromas and flavors ride the vivid structure, finishing long. A grapefruit peel note lingers. Shows some flesh, too, delivering terrific balance and drive. Drink now through 2024. 100 cases imported.-BS

Vinous 94 points - Slate, smoke, oyster shells, citrus and dried flowers are some of the many notes that open up in Fevre’s 2012 Chablis Bougros Cote Bouguerots. Weightless and translucent in the glass, the 2012 impresses for its crystalline beauty and exceptional overall balance. Bright, saline notes support the striking, deeply saline finish.
Wine Advocate 93 points - The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Cote Bouguerots comes from a steep 45-degree part of the grand cru vineyard. It has a very intense bouquet with a strong mineral component that cannot be ignored. This demands attention! The palate is very well-balanced with a touch of orange rind and spice on the entry. There is good weight, hints of dried honey, citrus peel and quince on the back palate with a very precise finish. This is one hell of a precocious Chablis. Drink 2016-2030. (Aug 2014)
Bougros sits on a very steep slope, with a gradient of more than 30%, facing due south at the foot of the hill. The shallow soil, a mixture of clay and gravel, prevents excessive yields resulting in complex, robust wines.
