Buy Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc
Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc pleases the senses in the most delightful and palpable way. While a light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoro’s freshness and lingering minerality provide a perfected structure and balance that you will not find in most Sauvignon Blanc wines. On the nose, an intense aroma of citrus fruits, such as grapefruit and white peach are contrasted with exotic spices, like mint, thyme, rosemary and marjoram. This is a truly unique wine that will please all palates.

Wine maker notes
Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc reigns from the capital of Friuli and is home of the established and prominent winery of Tenuta di Angoris. Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, aromatic and ripe, attributes all attributed to Sonoro’s origin: Isonzo. The maritime climate and just the right amount of rainfall in Isonzo, and the stony soils of white and red gravel, all contribute to the unique zest and flavor of Sonoro.

Food pairing
Sonoro Sauvignon Blanc lends itself well to dishes with fresh herbs and greens, such as fennel, spinach, watercress, arugula, and most green leaf salad vegetables. The most ideal pairing for this wine is seafood, shellfish and sushi; but this structured and well-balanced wine allows one to be creative. Try this wine with spices, chili pastes and curry-based recipes. Sonoro also pairs well with grilled or smoked white meats, such as pork, chicken or veal.

In order to thank him for his service in the 30 Years War, Locatelli Locatelli was given 300 fields in an area of Cormons known as “Langoris” by then Emperor Ferdinand III in 1648. At the time this area of Friuli was part of the Hapsburg Empire. From this time on, the quiet woods, green hills and gentle vineyards to the Tenuta di Angoris became a retreat for the royalty and elite from throughout the Hapsburg Empire. Villa Locatelli, which still dominates the estate, became a symbol of quality and hospitality and the wines that came from the estate made their way across the royal courts of Europe. Over three centuries have passed and the Tenuta di Angoris, one of the most prestigious Friuli wineries from time immemorial, is today managed with renewed enthusiasm and the entrepreneurial spirit of another Locatelli family (not related to the original Locatello): Claudia Locatelli renewed in the latest years the wines and the looks of the Tenuta di Angoris. The 17th Century Villa Locatelli is the home of the Tenuta di Angoris. A Villa where grace and elegance meet hospitality and warmth. We invite you to join us here for a look back in time and to recreate a moment where you too can feel like a prince or princess.
