Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2012 Sicilia Cubia Tenuta Ficuzza sees fruit sourced from Cusumano’s sprawling Tenuta di Ficuzza near Piana degli Albanesi in the province of Palermo. A pure expression of Insolia (with six months in oak barrel) Cubia opens to a saturated golden color with mature aromas of peach, apricot and cantaloupe. You’ll also find dried herbs and crushed mineral wrapped around the tangy finish. This vintage seems thinner to me in terms of mouthfeel compared to past releases. Drink 2014-2018.
