Aromas of licorice and sweet red berries fill the nose. Lush in style, this is medium- to full-bodied in style.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Black cherry and plum flavors are fresh and focused in this juicy red, which offers lively acidity, light tannins and with subtle gamy and herbal notes. Supple and balanced. Drink now through 2018. 4,000 cases made.

Wine Advocate 87 points - The 2012 Barranc dels Closos is a blend of 60% Garnacha and 40% Carinyena (I left the Catalan spelling of the grapes here, as you might find it on some back labels) aged for a short time in oak barrels. The nose is very fruity, with aromas of ripe raspberries, a little jammy, with a fresh and light to medium-bodied palate, balanced and clean. Drink now.
