A ruby red colored wine. The nose is very attractive with cherry fruit, orange peel, and herb notes. On the palate, its acidity is balanced by cherry, plum, prune, herb, spice, and black pepper flavors. The fruit concentration, deeper acidity and softer, rounder tannins distinguish it from a Tuscan example. The mild tannins lead up to a pleasant finish on fruit. Enjoy with roasted or grilled meats, braised chicken, pasta, sausage and hard chesses.
