Vinous 89 points - Good red-ruby. Perfumed aromas of blackberry, cassis, licorice and violet. Ripe, supple, juicy and dry, offering a smooth texture and good definition to the cherry and dark berry flavors. This is a substantial wine at 14.4% alcohol but finishes with good lift and subtle length. The suave tannins make those of the 2009 merlot seem dry in comparison.
