Vinous 90 points - (80% French and 20% American oak used here): Deep ruby. Sexy oaky, floral aromas of cherry compote, blackberry and cola, with a hint of vanilla in the background. Sappy, penetrating and refreshingly tangy, offering concentrated, juicy black and blue fruit flavors that become sweeter with air. |In the heart of Ribera del Duero is settled the origin of Vinos de la Familia Monteabellon.
For many generations Garcia family have been fully dedicated to viticulture. Taking advantage of decades of experience in viticulture and wine-making, Bodegas Monteabellon was founded in the year 2000. We are a family winery placed in the small town of Nava de Roa.
Nava de Roa still has many old winepresses and wineries where long time ago people produced and preserved wine. Like in all Ribera del Duero, its history and traditions are closely related to wine.
Our wide experience let us elaborate high quality wines in some of the most representative wine regions such as D.O. Rioja and D.O. Rueda where we reflect our passion for viticulture and the art of wine-making.
Our single purpose is to elaborate selected wines, this is why we carry out a meticulous selection of grapes at the vineyard, fostering low yields per hectare to obtain the best grapes to elaborate wines you will admire.
