This AOC obtained in 1937 covers 14 villages from the Cote de Beaune: Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet, Chorey-les-Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune, Meursault, Monthelie, Pernand-Vergelesses, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Saint-Romain, Santenay, Ladoix-Serrigny, les Maranges and Remigny.
This red wine can be commercialized under this appellation “Cote de Beaune Villages”. 4 villages are not concerned: Aloxe-Corton, Beaune, Pommard and Volnay. We can find wines coming from several communes blended under this appellation.
