A Soave white obtained from local Garganega varietal with low yield vineyards and careful attention to vinification, conducted in stainless steel. A pleasant surprise to the palate, with both freshness and depth, giving it and interesting and balanced structure.
Intense straw-yellow. A complex aroma with scents of summer fruits, pears, peaches, herbs, almonds, as well as minerality. The taste is rich and fresh, with a firm saltiness which doesn’t disturb, but rather intensifies the softness. Mild vanilla taste and good persistency.
The Santa Maria alla Pieve Estate is situated in Italy, in the Veneto Region, 16 kilometres east of Verona inside the Val d’Illasi, a picturesque semi-levelled area which the torrent of the same name flows through. The Val d’Illasi is surrounded to the north , by the chain of the Small Dolomites which form slopes that take it sweetly down to the valley below.
The Santa Maria alla Pieve Estate is part of the the Colognola ai Colli commune and consists of a total sur-face of about 21 hectares cultivated as vineyards. Tenuta Santa Maria Alla Pieve has also properties in others locations of the veronese wine production areas.
