Soil: Mainly Clay, rich of marine shells Elevation: 200 meters (656 feet) Age of vines: 6 to 12-year-old vines.
Vinification: Hand-harvest in mid-September. Separate vinification of each grape variety. The grapes are gently destemmed, crushed and placed inside specialized stainless-steel tanks, for 10 days. Alcoholic fermentation takes place through indigenous yeasts living on the skin. The wine ages for 4 months in cement tank where the malolactic fermentation takes place, followed by 12 months in Slavonian wooden barrels. Blend of both wines and ageing for another 6 months in cement before the wine is bottled.
Tasting Note: Ruby red color, with spicy aromas. Warm, well-structured and smooth tannins. Production: 30,000 bottles/ year.
